Journey into Wine follows the Travel channel’s very own wine-wonderwoman, Isabelle Legeron, as she continues her quest for “Free-Range” wine, travelling to the world’s best wineries and meeting the passionate and talented winemakers who put themselves and their traditions, into the bottle.
The series explores Hungary’s history, unique landscapes, culture, people and winemaking traditions. It charts the country’s recent wine-making renaissance, making it one of the most exciting wine producing countries around.
“Travel Channel distribution is growing rapidly in Hungary and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share the quality and dynamism of its wine industry with our audiences across the rest of Europe, Africa and the Middle East.” – Travel Channel CEO Richard Wolfe said.
Isabelle… she is a breath of fresh air in the wine world. Her accessible and unpretentious approach belies her authoritative knowledge and reputation as an exceptional and award winning wine taster.
Growing up on a wineyard in Cognac, Isabelle spent her younger life tending vines with her family, picking walnuts, figs and making sausages. These experiences have left her with a hands-on
approach to everything in life and an enormous passion for wine.
Budapest to the Black Sea is Isabelle’s fourth series for Travel Channel, which has seen her travelling the world’s vineyards and meeting its winemakers in South Africa, Spain, Portugal…and Australia.
